There's a pretty delicate balance with roguelikes, if it's too hard and your only way to progress is to either get lucky or use one powerful strategy that's not very fun. God mode just lowers the difficulty so it's into the range of being fun for me.

I'd know what to do if I had the presumably omniscient vision that came with God mode. I doubt I would know how to make to world better in a meaningful way without some unintended consequences as I stand. Not a dig at the world, just my own comprehension.
